360 encourage others to take up HERIB’S Challenge 500

After raising over £500 for the Hull and East Riding Institute for the Blind, 360 Chartered Accountants are now inviting other companies to follow their lead.

The team at 360 was charged with turning £50 into £500 as part of HERIB’s Challenge 500.  And by using their entrepreneurial skills they did exactly that!

Andy Steele, Director of 360, based in Hull and East Yorkshire, said:

“We started the challenge last June, just before the EU referendum, by initially using the £50 to buy ingredients to make Brexit buns.  We used the profit from these to buy paints and brushes to paint a gate at the Art Market in Cottingham.  We also weeded a car park.  Then, Andy Dickerson from Appleyards of Hulls, hired one of our auditors, Melissa Craft, for the day to do a stock take.  In total we raised £503.50.”

Sophie Homes, 360’s charities specialist, said:

“HERIB is a fantastic local charity and we were delighted to take part.  It was up to us to find innovative ways to raise funds.  We are always up for a challenge and Challenge 500 fit in perfectly with our Corporate Social Responsibility policy.  It was also lots of fun and a great team building activity. We would highly recommend other businesses to follow suit to help raise vital money for what is an extremely worthy cause.”
